Caregivers can pay attention to the following behaviors that indicate a tendency to wander, and make arrangements for anti-wandering measures as soon as possible.
Often expresses the desire to go home.
Often expresses a desire to return to his/her previous duties, e.g. needing to go back to work, going out for shopping, taking children to school, etc.
Disorientation in familiar environments, e.g. not recognizing one's own home, not being able to locate the toilet or bedroom at home, etc.
Frequent pacing without a purpose.
Decreased concentration and difficulty in engaging in activities that used to be of interest.
